Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme Extension is now in place from 1st November 2020 until 31st March 2021.
The government will review the scheme in January 2021 and decide whether to ask employers to contribute towards the scheme.
Some key points:
You can claim for employees who were on your payroll between 20 March and 30 October 2020;
Full flexibility in working hours;
Employers will pay NI and pension contributions (like in August 2020);
You can claim for employees who were not previously eligible for CJRS. Use alternative calculations for furlough pay: reference pay*;
For employees who were previously furloughed, use the same calculations as before;
Monthly deadlines for claims are introduced: claims must be submitted by day 14 of the following month. (e.g. claim for November 2020 must be submitted by 14 December 2020)
